VICELAND Brand Launch Spot

For the last 22 years, VICE has defiantly explored the human experience in all its complexity. Now, the brand brings that same brash attitude and unflinching curiosity to its newest endeavor: network television. Say hello to VICELAND.


Co-president Spike Jonze describes the unique vision for the 24-hour channel, saying, “We wanted VICELAND to be different, to feel like everything on there has a reason to exist and a strong point of view”—from the programming to the network IDs.



VICELAND commissioned us to produce a brand spot as vérité as the channel itself. Over the course of seven days and 7,000 miles, we shot in six disparate and visually arresting locales across The United States, Canada, Afghanistan and Iraq in order to create a piece that reflects the eclectic, adventurous, globally-minded spirit of the new network.
