ABC Family is Becoming Freeform

After months of working together, we’re excited that ABC Family has shared the news that, starting January 2016, the network will be rebranding as Freeform.

Since introducing the concept of the Becomer audience at upfronts this past year, we’ve been working with ABC Family to develop the identity for Freeform. Says ABC Family: “The name Freeform speaks to the mindset and attitude of what the channel has defined as Becomers. Traditionally, Becomers are in high school, college and the decade that follows and are navigating the wonderful, fun, exciting, and scary time in life when you experience the most firsts – first car, first apartment, first job, first love, first heartbreak – all the firsts that exists between who they are and who they want to become.”

We will continue working with ABC Family to develop the identity, and we’ll be sure to share the results early next year.
